Progression Magazine‘s Spring 2016 Issue 69 pays tribute to the recent passing of the great Keith Emerson. Clay Walnum also wrote a very nice two-page article on Circuline.
“Tuneful pop-like vocal refrains juxtapose complex instrumental passages….from pleasing melodies to avant-garde dissonance…..an abiding emphasis on vocal harmonies…..melodic pop roots framed by ‘proggy’ symphonic instrumental work and arranging…..a seasoned onstage act…..enthusiastic…..like a savvy veteran outfit, this is one progressive ensemble whose ‘circle’ should continue unbroken for years to come.”
“Silence Revealed” – Music by Andrew Colyer, Darin Brannon, and Bill Shannon. Lyrics and vocal melodies by Randy McStine. Additional vocal harmony arrangements by Andrew Colyer, Natalie Brown, and William Spillane. Guest electric violin solo by Joe Deninzon.
Circuline’s debut album features Guest Artists Matt Dorsey (Sound of Contact) on bass, Randy McStine (Lo-Fi Resistance) as a songwriter and vocalist, and Joe Deninzon (Stratospheerius) on electric violin. Paul Ranieri (Mark Wood Rock Orchestra), seen in the above video, is the new bassist with the band.

The answer is: veteran entertainment attorney Ronald Bienstock.
Circuline Music, LLC has just signed veteran entertainment attorney Ronald Bienstock! (Ron also happens to be a badass bass player.) Ron’s entertainment law firm has a wealth of knowledge and clients, including: King Crimson, Dream Theater, Porcupine Tree, Steven Wilson, Leslie West, Beth Hart, and many instrument manufacturers. This is a very exciting step for this “growing band”!
Also in the above photo is new Circuline manager Thomas Palmieri. We are so happy and grateful to have Tom as an addition to the team!
Circuline’s second album is slated for a March 2016 release date! Andrew Colyer (keyboards/vocals/sound design), Darin Brannon (drums/keyboards) and William “Billy” Spillane (guitars/vocals) are working in The Cave, composing and recording the second album. Here are some photos from the August writing and recording sessions.
